It's Joe's birthday today! This picture is not from today but captures exactly the kind of dad Joe is: sweet and dedicated. Leo and I are lucky to have him in our lives.

Teething and Sick

Léo has been teething and has a cold. He was pretty fussy today and refused to nap all morning. Poor little guy. Here is what we use to help him through the day: gross nasal aspirator (not gross in reality but the thought of aspiring snot from a baby's nose is not the most bucolic ever), frozen teething toy, and amber, said to relieve pain and used a lot in France to help babies who teeth.

Day 1 - Birthday!

A blog is personal and somehow more than a little ego centric. I am pushing this notion by creating this blog, where I'll talk about moi by posting a picture per day. Well, that's my goal anyway.

Today is my birthday. I am 31. 30 was great, contrary to what I thought. 5 days before turning the big 3-0 I took a test and learnt I was pregnant. 9 months of that year was therefore devoted to growing a little boy inside me. The other 3 months were devoted to not losing my mind over motherhood! Now I'm 31, feel great about being in my 30s, and want to take advantage of my son, my husband, and, well, my life! This picture is the gift Joe got for my birthday. As corny as it sounds, my son is now my life, and I wear him proudly around my neck.
